Richard Uttley

Born in Bradford, Richard Uttley studied at Cambridge University, graduating in 2008 with a double first. He was awarded a distinction in his Master’s from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where he studied with Martin Roscoe and is now a Fellow. In 2006 he won the British Contemporary Piano Competition, and in 2010 took 1st Prize in the Haverhill Sinfonia Soloist Competition.

YCAT (Young Classical Artists’ Trust) is a fully-fledged artists’ agency specifically for young performers in the early stages of major careers. Auditions to get on their books are highly competitive and PAC is delighted to be welcoming one of their most recent signings, the pianist Richard Uttley, a young musician with a special affinity with contemporary repertoire, on 14 May at 7.30pm.
