The Summer House
Sunday 8th May 2011 7:30pm (£10/£8 Concs)
A comedy thriller
Three men arrive by car at a remote house in the countryside. Who are they? Where are they? Are those stuffed beavers on the wall?
Then the Vikings arrive.
This is a play about men, about myths and what they're for and about the weather and how it blows all the other stuff away anyway.
The Summer House tells the story of how Neil, an awkward thirty-something male, drags two other thirty-something males, Will and Matthew, on a stag weekend to his summer house in the remote Icelandic countryside.
As they settle in to their surroundings, they realise that everything isn't quite as it seems. The freezing white expanse is having a strange effect on them, and it could be the drink but is that a Norse God that they see in the distance? A Viking? A raven? Or simply a ghost?

...WE THINK YOU'LL ENJOY THE SUMMER HOUSE
A hilarious three-hander, that brings together award-winning comedians and performers Will Adamsdale (‘Jackson’s Way’), Neil Haigh (‘Cartoon de Salvo regular’), Matthew Steer (‘Britain’s Best Mates’) and John Wright (co-founder of ‘Told by An Idiot’ and ‘Trestle’).
"A wonderful homage to male bonding" Exeunt Magazine
"It's likely to be an offbeat evening, and totally disrespectful of the boundaries between comedy and theatre, high and low art." The Guardian (preview)
